Nine NC State gymnasts were named to the 2010 East Atlantic Gymnastics League (EAGL) All-Academic team. Lauren Deuser was one of sixteen EAGL gymnasts to make the team for the fourth time.
Deuser was joined by three-time honorees Brittney Hardiman, Logan Mintz and Brittany Vontz. Brooke Barr, Taylor Seaman and Sommer Snyder earned their second honor. Morgan Johnson and Rachel Fincham earned the accolade in their freshman season this year.
A total of 94 student-athletes from the eight East Atlantic Gymnastics League (EAGL) schools have been named to the 2010 EAGL All-Academic team, announced by the EAGL sports information office today.
In order to be named to the EAGL All-Academic team, student-athletes must have a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 or higher. Freshmen are also eligible, if they earned a GPA of 3.0 or higher in the fall semester.
Rutgers has the most honorees, placing 18 gymnasts on the team. New Hampshire and West Virginia contributed 15 members to the team. Sixteen of the 94 gymnasts were honored for their fourth year, including NC State's Deuser.
