Hill Named ACC Golfer of the Year; Blair Earns All-ACC Honors

RALEIGH, N.C. – The honors keep rolling in for sophomore golfer Matt Hill, as he was named the 2009 ACC Golfer of the Year announced by the conference today. Hill is only the second NC State golfer ever to win the award, sharing that honor with current PGA Tour member Tim Clark who won in 1997.
Hill was also an automatic member of the All-ACC team after he earned co-medalist honors at the ACC Championships. Hill was also named All-ACC as a freshman last season.
A second member of the Pack also earned All-ACC honors, as senior Darren Blair was named to the all-conference team for the first time in his career.
The selections to the ACC squads were made by the league’s 11 head coaches.
