COLUMBUS, Ohio – The NC State women’s golf team sits in 15th place after two rounds at the NCAA Central Regional at the Scarlet Course at Ohio State University.
The Wolfpack own a team score of +43 (312-307=619) with one round remaining in the 54-hole event.
Freshman Meghan Chapman shot a second-straight four-over 76 and is tied for 27th at +8 (76-76-152) for the tournament.
Junior Emily Street recorded the Wolfpack’s best score through two rounds with a three-over 75 and is tied for 44th at +9 (78-75=153).
Senior Lauren Doughtie had a tough day with an 82 on Friday to fall back into a tie for 82nd at +15 (77-82=159).
Junior Kathleen Strandberg is tied for 84th with a 36-hole score of +16 (81-79=160).
Sophomore Julie Saleeby improved by five shots from yesterday’s opening round with a five-over 77 and is tied for 91st at +18 (85-77=162).
UCLA (-2, 574) leads by 10 strokes over Purdue (+8, 584), while fellow ACC member Wake Forest is in fourth at +17 (593).
UCLA’s Stephanie Kono and Maria Jose Uribe lead the field at –5 (139).
Final round of the regional takes place on Saturday at 8 a.m. The Pack begins its round at 12:30 p.m. from hole No. 10.
