OTHER HIGHLIGHTS: The 2007 Wolfpack squad set the school record for pass attempts (502) and posted the second-highest completion tally (281) in school history. NC State threw for 2,948 yards in 2007, the fifth-highest total ever for a Pack squad. 2005 Boston College squad led ACC in total offense, averaging 387.8 yards per game. 2006 Eagle offense ranked second in the league with 355.6 yards per contest and led the ACC in passing yards at 241.2, turnover margin at 1.15 and first downs. BC quarterback Matt Ryan was named first-team All-ACC in 2006. Nominated for the 2000 Frank Broyles Award, given to the top assistant coach in the country. Quarterbacks coach for the 1990 Cincinnati Bengals squad which won the AFC Central Division championship and advanced to the playoffs. Coached at NC State under Tom Reed for three seasons in the 1980s, mentoring former Wolfpack greats such as Erik Kramer, Haywood Jeffires, Naz Worthen and Danny Peebles.
