Born 2/6/58 in Cincinnati.  He and his wife Maura have two daughters, Hayes (5) and Hadley Ellison, who was born in October of 2007.

OTHER HIGHLIGHTS: 
Prior to the 2007 campaign, was named the second-best offensive line coach in the country by Todd McShay on espn.com; In 2006, coached BC guard Josh Beekman, who won first-team All-ACC honors, as well as the ACC’s prestigious Jacobs’ Blocking Trophy.  One of his tackles, Jim Marten, earned second-team honors.  In 2005, three BC offensive linemen – offensive tackle Jeremy Trueblood, Beekman and center Patrick Ross – all earned second-team all-conference honors.  Horton helped coach Ross and Trueblood to the All-Big East second team in 2004 and offensive guards Chris Snee and Augie Hoffmann to the first team in 2003.  Previously helped coach Eagle tight end Sean Ryan to the All-Big East second team in 2002, Robert Ellis to the All-Big East second team in 2000 and Todd Pollack to the All-Big East first team in 1997.
