Washington Leads Women's Track and Field at Tar Heel Invite

DeMiracle Washington led NC State women's track and field at the Joe Hilton Tar Heel Invitational Saturday in Chapel Hill. Washington won the triple jump and finished third in the long jump to pace the Pack.

Washington turned in a 39'05.25" in the triple jump to easily win the event. She then placed third in the long jump with a distance of 18'00.25".

Chapin Payne finished fifth in the 800 meter run with a time of 2:26.19.

Kayla Lawson was another top Wolfpack performer with a mark of 5'05.00" in the high jump.

NC State track and field will return to action in split squad competition at Clemson and North Carolina next weekend.
