As a junior (2009)
• Split time between the bullpen and the rotation, making eight starts and 12 appearances in relief
• Went 1-1 with a 5.06 ERA and a save as a reliever, walking six and striking out 24 in 16 innings
• Began the season in the bullpen and did not allow a run in seven of his first nine appearances
• Pitched a scoreless inning February 24 vs. High Point, walking one, striking out three and not allowing a hit
• Was in line to be the winning pitcher in NC State’s game vs. Akron on March 4 at Lake Worth, Fla., before the Zips rallied to tie the game in the ninth
• Held Akron scoreless for 1 2/3 innings, walking one and striking out four
• Worked 2 2/3 scoreless innings March 15 vs. Maryland, notching three strikeouts
• Had a big doubleheader March 29 vs. Virginia Tech, picking up the save in the first game after allowing a run on one hit in an inning of relief
• Came on in relief in the first inning of the second game with the Wolfpack trailing 5-0 and allowed just one unearned run on three hits in 2 2/3 innings of relief, striking out four without allowing a walk, enabling the Wolfpack offense to come from behind to win
• Made his first start and worked one scoreless inning in a prearranged pitching split April 1 that saw the Wolfpack use 10 pitchers vs. East Carolina
• Started the April 5 finale of the Boston College series and pitched well, carrying a one-hitter and a 10-2 lead into the bottom of the fifth inning, but ran out of gas in the sixth
• Started the final game of the Duke series April 12 and held the Blue Devils hitless through three innings and scoreless through four, but wound up allowing three runs on four hits in 5 1/3 innings
• Started and pitched six shutout innings April 18 in the second game of the Florida State series, allowing four hits
• Started the second game of the North Carolina series May 9 and limited the Tar Heels to three runs on just one hit in 6 1/3 innings, recording career highs for innings pitched, strikeouts (10) and walks (9)

At Santa Fe Community College (2008)
• Made 13 starts and went 2-4 with a 5.52 ERA in 58 2/3 innings
• Walked 29 and struck out a team-best 65

At Wright State (2007)
• Went 2-2 with an 8.31 ERA in 10 appearances as a freshman in 2007
• Made six starts and worked 21 2/3 innings, allowed 33 hits, walked 18 and struck out 14
