In 2008:  Named to the watch list for the 2009 Rimington Trophy ... A key to the Wolfpack's improvement in the second half of the 2008 season, the coaching staff attributed his rapid development at his new position as a factor behind the offense's increased output ... Moved from the defensive line, where he had started two games and played 12 in 2007, to center in 2008 spring drills ... Earned the starting spot for the entire season and saw action in 730 snaps - the second-highest total for offensive players returning for 2009 ... Recipient of the team's Jim Ritcher Award for Outstanding Offensive lineman ... ... A 2009 preseason third-team All-ACC choice by Athlon Sports and a fourth-team pick by Phil Steele's College Football Preview ... Earned his degree in history in May.    


In 2007:  Started at right defensive tackle versus Boston College and at the left versus Clemson ... Tallied four tackles for loss, including three sacks, in 2007.
