As a Freshman (2007-08) Probably the most improved player on the Wolfpack squad at the end of the season, he rejoined the starting lineup for the last 10 games of the season … Averaged 26.1 minutes and 6.0 points over the last 15 outings … Also averaged 3.3 assists in the last 15 games, including a season-high of nine in the home loss to North Carolina … In ACC only stats, finished the season ninth in the ACC, and first among all freshmen, in assist/turnover ratio at 1.46 … Posted a career-best 18 points in the home loss to Duke … Was a perfect 4-of-4 from three-point range, and hit 6-of-7 from the field overall … Also played a season-high 32 minutes … Scored 11 points against Virginia Tech, hitting three of his five three point attempts … At Florida State, scored seven points - all of them came from the free throw line … Scored nine points against Georgia Tech, shooting 4-8 from the field … Took over the starter’s job at point guard following the injury to Farnold Degand - he started the next five games before coming off the bench in the next six … Played 27 minutes against Miami including all of the overtime, he nailed two second-half three-pointers in that contest as well … Had one of his best outings of the season in the win over Presbyterian, scoring seven points and hitting two three-pointers … Hit 6-of-8 free throws, including all four in the final minute, to finish with six points against Cincinnati … Missed all of preseason practice after suffering a torn thumb ligament during a skill workout in September.
