CLEMSON, S.C. – Clemson remained undefeated on the year in conference play with a 3-0 (30-11, 30-24, 30-18) win over NC State on Saturday, Oct. 27, in Clemson, S.C. The defeat sends the Pack to 3-20 (0-13 ACC) on the season, while the Tigers climb to 20-2 (13-0 ACC).
All State players were held to single-digit kill totals for the second-consecutive match, as Chrissy Zirpolo led the squad with nine. Zirpolo also had the most digs with nine. Alex Smith hoisted 24 assists, and three Wolfpackers scored service aces.
Danielle Hepburn posted 14 kills for Clemson, and Jeanette Abbott added 10. Kelsey Murphy put up 34 assists and 12 digs, and Sue Eckman recorded a match-high five service aces.
In all, Clemson out-hit the Pack .350 to .115.
State will return to the courts against rival North Carolina in Chapel Hill on Tuesday, Oct. 30. First serve is set for 7 p.m.
