Jamey Coll is entering his 12th year as a member of the Wolfpack Athletic Training Staff and has served as the head athletic trainer for football since 1996. During his tenure at NC State, Coll has also worked as the assistant athletic trainer for football, has worked in the Reynolds Athletic Training Room as the rehabilitation coordinator and at NC State Student Health Services as an athletic trainer. At the Student Health Center, Coll collaborated with a physical therapist to come up with treatment plans and rehabilitation protocols for patient care. Coll came to NC State after serving as a graduate assistant athletic trainer at the University of Connecticut for two years, working as the assistant athletic trainer for football and the athletic trainer for ice hockey. In addition, he served as the athletic trainer for the Windham Orthopedic Surgical Group, working with physical therapists and orthopedic surgeons. A native of Wrentham, Mass., Coll earned his athletic training degree from Salem State College in 1991 and went on to Connecticut, where he received his Master of Arts in exercise science in 1993. Coll is certified with the National Athletic Trainers Association as an athletic trainer and is certified as a strength and conditioning specialist with the National Strength and Conditioning Association. Coll is married to the former Leah Havens Wallace of Raleigh. The couple had their first child, Sydney Patricia, born February 21, 2004. | |||||||||||
