Tim Metcalf is currently NC State University's Athletics Eligibility Coordinator, a position he accepted in August 2011 after a five-year tenure as East Carolina University's Director of Athletics Compliance. Tim's previous experience in college athletics administration include eight years as the Assistant Director of Athletics Compliance at Georgia Southern University.
Prior to his appointment in the Eagles' athletic department, Tim served as a graduate teaching assistant in the department of kinesiology at GSU, where he was named Graduate Teaching Assistant-of-the-Year in 1996. He also spent one year as an assistant football coach at Winston-Salem State, where he earned his second bachelor of science degree, graduating Summa Cum Laude with a B.S. Degree in Health/Physical Education. Before enrolling at Winston-Salem State, Tim spent four years as a professional stuntman in Hollywood, Ca from 1986-1990.
Tim is a 1983 graduate of Appalachian State, where he earned a B.S. Degree in Criminal Justice. He received his Master's Degree in Sport Management from Georgia Southern in 1997.
Tim is married to the former Suzanne Magnan.
