Diane Moose was named NC State's Associate Athletic Director for Business and Finance in May 2000, after serving for eight months as the department's Interim Director of Business and Finance. Prior to joining the athletic department, Moose served as the Assistant Director of the University's Budget Office for three years; overseeing a total budget in excess of $720 million. Moose also served as Assistant Vice President of Budget for Penn Corp Financial from 1993-1997. Moose is responsible for overseeing various business office functions, including budget development and monitoring, financial reporting internally and externally; financing for capital improvements as well as day to day oversight of the business office operations. The business office is responsible for monitoring the transactions of 23 sports programs and 16 supporting departments to insure compliance with set budgets, state regulations and the NCAA. The department's operating budget has grown from $26 million to over $40 million since Moose joined the department. Moose serves on several committees at NC State including the Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery Committee, NCAA event committees, the NC State Athletic Executive committee, Internal Operations committee and the Facility operations committee. Moose also interacts with several groups that support NC State Athletics including the Wolfpack Club, Wolfpack Sports Marketing, Student Fee Committee as well as the ACC Office. Moose is a graduate of NC State with a Bachelor of Arts in accounting. A life-long resident of eastern North Carolina, she has been in the Raleigh area since 1979. Moose married Tim Moose in 1982 and they have three daughters, Britt, Jordan and CJ (Cathryn June). Britt and Jordan are both students at NC State while CJ attends Knightdale High School. | |||||||||
