Robin Pate begins his first season as the Director of Compliance in 2009-10 after spending the past 11 seasons as the Director of Operations for the Wolfpack Women's Basketball program.
Robin oversaw the day-to-day operations of the women's basketball program, which included the scheduling of team travel, games and practices, as well as serving as a liaison for the staff and team with Athletics Facilities, Media Relations, Marketing, Housing and Residence Life, and all of the community outreach programs. He supervised the Girls and Women in Sport (G-WIS) program, as well as assisted with the overall organization and administration of the summer basketball camps.
Robin has served in several capacities with the NC State program. Beginning in 1988, he spent three years as a manager before taking a graduate student position. He then moved on to become an assistant coach at the University of Evansville, only to return to the Wolfpack for two more years, this time as an assistant. Pate chose to enter the business aspect of the program after his stint as a coach and was named the Director in 1997. In 2002 Robin spent one year in the private sector, before returning to his current capacity. He earned his degree in science education - physics and minored in coaching in 1991. In addition, he has completed coursework for a graduate degree in sport management.
Robin and his wife Christy live in Apex, NC, with their two daughters Madison (11 years old) and Ashlynn (8 years old).
