
Men’s Team Receives At-Large Bid to NCAA Championships

RALEIGH, N.C. – The 10th-ranked NC State men's cross country team received an at-large bid to the NCAA Championships, as announced Saturday afternoon. The Wolfpack finished fifth at the Southeast regional on Friday.
The men will join the NC State women, who earned an automatic bid after placing second to earn an automatic qualifying spot.

The Pack was led by Sam Parsons and Meron Simon who earned top-10 finishes and All-Southeast Region honors. Bakri Abushouk also had a strong race, finishing 23rd to also earn All-Southeast Region honors.
Zack Langston and Sam Roberson rounded out the Pack's scoring, finishing as the team's fourth and fifth scorers, respectively.
Overall, the Southeast region placed six teams into the national championships. NC State is joined by automatic qualifiers Louisville and Virginia, as well as fellow at-large selections Eastern Kentucky Furman and Virginia Tech.

Both top-10 teams head to Louisville, Ken., for the NCAA Championships on Nov. 21. The women are slated to race at 12 p.m. followed by the men at 1 p.m.

This marks the team's 21st NCAA appearance in the last 24 years. Head coach Rollie Geiger has guided the NC State men's cross country team to 26 overall NCAA Championship appearances.Regional Recap:
