Â
Stenta claimed the white singles championship with a 6-3, 2-6, 6-4 final win over No. 1 seed Tristen Dewar of Clemson.

"I coached Martina and Simon [Earnshaw] coached Stenta, but I can honestly say that I'm very proud of them both. Martina really stepped up and really showed the level of tennis she is capable of playing. She stayed focused on the goals: to take advantage of the opponents she was going to face, stay calm, play her game and take advantage of her opportunities. This was a great tournament for her. She beat four ranked players, two of them being top-20. Finally she is able to see the kind of player she really is.
Â
"With Stenta, words couldn't describe how proud I am of her. She has really come out and put in the extra effort. She came out of her comfort zone in order to be successful. She faces some nervous moments during matches, which in the past has defeated her, but this time she was able to pull through and it's really rewarding to see her hard work and resilience pay off." – Gina Suarez-Malaguti, assistant coach
