CSM National Players of the Week
GAINESVILLA, Fla. – Junior guard Miah Spencer of the NC State women's basketball team (9-3) has been named the College Sports Madness ACC Player of the Week for the week of December 14-20, the organization announced Monday morning.
Spencer had a strong week for the Wolfpack in wins over Western Carolina (86-55) and Eastern Kentucky (73-62), averaging 16.5 points, 7.0 assists, and 5.0 rebounds per game. The junior's 23-point evening against WCU was NC State's single-highest scoring performance of the season and marked the 10th 20-point game in her career and the 45th 10-point game of her career.
NC State defeated Eastern Kentucky in the first round of the 2015 Gator Holiday Classic on Sunday and will meet the host (RV/RV) Gators in the tournament championship game Monday at 2:30 p.m.
