RALEIGH, N.C. – The NC State men's tennis team has signed Irish International Morgan Lohan, as announced by head coach Jon Choboy.
"We are very excited to have Morgan join the Wolfpack," said Choboy. "He is national champion in all age groups since he was 12. He comes from a tennis family, his sister also competing at the University of Miami. In addition to being very tough on the tennis court, Morgan is also a very strong student. He comes in with very strong recommendations as well and will be an immediate impact player for the Pack."
Lohan will join the Pack in the fall of 2017 and brings a wealth of international experience to the roster.
Lohan holds a Universal Tennis Rank of 13 and is ranked No. 736 in the ITF Juniors rankings. He posted 11 wins on the ITF Juniors Circuit in 2016 and has 21 wins in his ITF Juniors career. He is a five-time Irish national champion and is a four-time selection to the Irish national team.
Lohan comes from a strong tennis pedigree. His sister, Sinead Lohan, is currently an All-American and All-ACC selection for the Miami women's tennis team.
