NC State Opens Action at Penn Relays

PHILADELPHIA - NC State's throwers and distance runners opened action at the Penn Relays on Thursday night with a pair of top-10 finishes.
Throws:
Lauren Evans and Alyssa Dunn competed in the shot put. The duo finished 22nd and 30th, respectively.
Distance:
Alyssa Rudawsky ran in the women's 3000m championships and finished third overall with a time of 9:44.54. The finish is the highest of the season for Rudawsky and gives her two top-five finishes on the outdoor season. Rudawsky holds a current ACC qualifying mark in the 5,000m.
In steeplechase action, the Pack picked up its second top-10 finish on the evening, as Rachel Bartolomeo took sixth with a time of 10:38.03. Bartotlomeo has three top-10 finishes this season and is currently qualified for the ACC Championships in the steeplechase.
Olivia Enright took 17th in the event with a near season best of 10:53.96.
