RALEIGH, N.C. - The ACC announced the seeds and brackets for the 2017 ACC Wrestling Championhip, which NC State hosts this Saturday inside Reynolds Coliseum.
NC State earned a pair of No. 1 seeds, at 141 (Kevin Jack) and 184 pounds (Michael Macchiavello). Virginia Tech (125, 149, 157, 174, 197, 285) and Pitt (133, 165) secured the other eight top seeds in the one-day, double-elimination tournament.
The Wolfpack also had the No. 2 seed at 149 (Sam Speno), 157 (Thomas Bullard), 165 (Brian Hamann), and 197 pounds (Malik McDonald). The top two seeds in each weight class will have a first round bye. No Pack wrestler was seeded lower then a No. 4 seed in any of the 10 weight classes for the second straight year.
