@PackWrestle Lands Four on the All-ACC Academic Team

RALEIGH, N.C. – Four members of the NC State wrestling team, including three of the school-record 10 NCAA Qualifiers, were named to the sport's 20-man All-ACC Academic Team, announced Monday by the ACC.

Redshirt-senior Mike Kosoy, redshirt juniors Brian Hamann and Chad Pyke, and freshman Thomas Bullard were all honored by the ACC for their performances in the classroom this past season.

To be eligible for All-ACC Academic Team consideration, a student-athlete must have earned a minimum 3.00 grade point average for the previous semester and maintained a minimum 3.00 cumulative average during his academic career.

• Fr. Thomas Bullard – 2017 NCAA Qualifier at 157 pounds … Was pulled out of redshirt in early December … Went 21-12 on the season, including 8-4 in duals as the Pack's starter at 157 pounds

• R-Jr. Brian Hamann – 2017 NCAA Qualifier at 165 pounds, also earned All-ACC honors with a second place finish … Went 21-13 on the season, including 6-4 in duals.

• R-Sr. Mike Kosoy – 2017 NCAA Qualifier at 285 pounds … Finished 22-12 in his final season, and posted 79 career wins at NC State … Named to the ACC Honor Roll last year, and earned his undergrad degree from NC State in science, technology and society.

• R-Jr. Chad Pyke – Saw action at both 157 and 165 pounds … Went 12-9 on the season - 3-2 at 157 pounds and 9-7 at 165 … Earned ACC Honor Roll accolades twice during his Wolfpack career … Set to graduate in May with a degree in Finance.
