  • Coaching Experience: 12th season/3rd at NC State.
  • Named the second fast-pitch head coach in NC State history on July 6, 2012
  • Led the Wolfpack to an NCAA Tournament in each of his first two seasons, advancing to the regional final in both trips.
  • His 2014 squad made school and state of North Carolina history by becoming the first team to advance to an NCAA regional final without a loss, following State's 5-4 upset win over fourth-seeded Georgia.
  • The Pack became just the fifth team to beat a top-four seed before a regional final since 2005.
  • Led the Wolfpack to the ACC Tournament title in just his first season in 2013, becoming the first head coach in the history of the ACC to do so in his/her first season
  • Helped the Wolfpack softball squad break numerous program records in his first season, including home runs (88), runs scored (288) and slugging percentage (.491).
  • Served as head coach at Boston University prior to taking the reins at NC State. Winningest coach in Boston history, he never had a losing season

    Earned a B.S. degree in physical education and sports management from Gannon University in Erie, Pa., in 1991.

    Native of Salamanca, N.Y., Lives in Apex, N.C., with his wife Tricia and their two sons Ajay and Drew.

    Playing Experience:
    Played fast-pitch softball for 23 years and was a member of the U.S. men's national team for eight years, winning one gold medal, three silver medals and a bronze medal. He was named U.S. Olympic Committee's softball athlete of the year in 1999 and 2000. In all, he won three ISA world titles and two ASA national titles, while playing for teams in Florida, Michigan, Illinois and Wisconsin. He was inducted into the ISC Hall of Fame on Aug. 12, 2012.

    Conference Championships:
    Four-time conference champion - three at Boston University and one last season with NC State, Also accounted for a conference championship as an assistant coach at Boston.
