PLAYER DEVELOPMENT

    SINGLES
    INDIVIDUAL DEVELOPMENT
We use individual one on one practice to develop a winning singles game for each of our players.

    DOUBLES
    PEAK PERFORMANCE TRAINING
Aggressive forecourt tactics are the focus with each of our doubles teams.

    MOVEMENT
Dynamic balance, a wide low base, cutting the angle to the ball, anticipation, recovery, agility and an explosive first step are keys to creating great movement on court.

    MENTAL TOUGHNESS
Confident body language, positive mental attitude, imagery, goal-setting and relaxation techniques are some of the tools we use to improve our athletes mental toughness.

    PATTERNS OF PLAY
Good habits are built through identifying and developing each player's successful patterns of play.

    COMMUNICATION
Player's input is combined with the coaching staff's knowledge and experience to create an optimal environment for improvement.

    PERIODIZATION
Peak performance is achieved by following a periodized plan that constantly adjusts short term goals to maximize perfor¬mance. This enables us to play our best tennis through the ACC season culminating with the NCAA championships.

    VIDEO ANALYSIS
Video analysis is used to develop each player's imagery to help them with visualization of their games. Performance analysis will assist in monitoring and providing feedback for technical, physical and tactical adjustments.

    DISCIPLINE
Discipline is a cornerstone of Wolfpack player development. By attending all activities with focus and concentration positive habits are formed. The habit of doing many small things consistently right is rewarded in performance.
