    For the 2009-2010 season, three cheerleaders participated in a four way tie for first place on the top 10 student athlete list based on their cumulative grade point averages.

    Robert S. Allen, is a senior from Newport, NC. He major's in Civil Engineering with a minor in Aerospace studies, maintaining a perfect 4.0 GPA each semester. He is also a member of the Air Force ROTC Program. He has also achieved the Legion of Valor Bronze Cross for Achievement Award in 2009. Upon graduation in December 2010 he will attend Air Force Pilot Training.

    Erika Armwood, is a senior from Spring Lake, NC. She majors in Animal Science and has recently been accepted to NC State University's College of Veterinary Medicine, where she will attend in the Fall 2010. She plans to work with companion and exotic animals. Erika has made the Dean's List each semester while attending NC State and is a NCA All American Cheerleader, a current member of the Student Athlete Advisory Committee and was named the 2009 and 2010 Female Cheerleading MVP. She also received the Larry Peebles Award.

    Chris Goodell, is a junior from Plattsburg, New York. He double majors in Biological Sciences and French Language and Literature, and plans to attend Dental School after graduating in May 2011. He has maintained a perfect 4.0 GPA each semester and is a member of the Parks Scholarship Program. In 2008, his family was selected as the NC State Family of the Year during Friends and Families Weekend. He is currently studying abroad in Montpellier, France.
