The NC State Cheerleading Program has organized a Winter Clinic to help you prepare to tryout for the college cheerleading squad of your choice. Our clinic will help you transition from high school and/or all star cheerleading to collegiate cheerleading.
Attending the clinic will give you a head start on the competition and help you feel much more confident and relaxed when you try out for a college team. The clinic will be hosted by the NC State coaching staff and number of our current and former cheerleaders.
At our clinic, you will receive instruction on stunt technique (both coed and group), tumbling and game day cheerleading. You will learn our recruiting and tryout processes and work on the skills that you will be asked to perform at tryouts.
The clinic will be held on February 1st from 10am – 4pm in Carmichael Gym in the gymnastics facility and the adjacent basketball court. Lunch will be provided. (Lunch will consist of a sub sandwich a bag of chips and bottled water. If this is not appealing to you please bring your own lunch.)
Included is a registration form, an application and a release form. The cost of the clinic is $100.00 for females and $50.00 for males. The application will be used to help us provide feedback and separate you into groups by skill level in order to better benefit you at the clinic (please be honest). All materials must be completed and returned with proof of medical insurance along with the clinic fee by January 24th, 2013.
If overnight accommodations are needed, NC State offers a limited number of dorm rooms at the Avent Ferry Complex. Please visit their website for additional information by clicking HERE, and contact them directly to make accommodations.
There are also a number of local hotels available. Information about several local hotels is available HERE. Please contact the hotel directly to make a reservation. All of these hotels are great, but we recommend using Holiday Inn Brownstone because of its proximity to campus or the Raleigh Marriot Crabtree Valley because of its proximity to local shopping and dining.
