Rifle Completes Regular Season Action at Army

WEST POINT, N.Y. - The NC State rifle team completed action at the Tronsrue Marksmanship Center on Saturday, after competing against the Nebraska Cornhuskers on Friday and the host Army Black Knights on Saturday.
The Wolfpack fired a team total of 2318 in the air rifle competition against Army, as Daniel Cliff, Madeline Pike and Amy Roderer each charted a score of 580. Alex Martin tallied the next-best score with a 578 clip, while freshman Lucas Kozeniesky registered a 570.
In smallbore, Kozeniesky paced the squad with a score of 581and Martin posted the Pack's second-best total with a 569. Cliff recorded a 565 in the competition, while Roderer and Pike scored a 557 and 549, respectively. State finished with a team score of 2272 in the event.
NC State tallied a combined score of 4590, while the Black Knights scored a 4662 (2306 smallbore, 2356 air rifle) to win the match.
Against Nebraska, the Pack recorded a team score of 4561, while the Cornhuskers tallied a team total of 4690.
Roderer headlined State's scores in the air rifle competition, as she charted a 578 and Martin posted a 576. Kozeniesky totaled a score of 575, while Pike and Cliff fired scores of 571 and 570, with respect to order. State shot a 2300 in the event as a team.
The Pack collected a smallbore score of 2261, highlighted by Cliff's score of 572. Martin fired a 568 and Kozeniesky shot a 561. Pike and Roderer rounded out the lineup for the Wolfpack and each fired a score of 560.
NC State has now completed its regular season slate, but will shot in the NCAA Qualifier match held in Charleston, S.C., from Feb. 22-23.
