Milledgeville, Ga. – Led by individual champion William Teller, the NC State rifle team remained undefeated in SEARC competition, winning the SEARC III meet this weekend.
This was the final match of the 2011-12 season for the Wolfpack to include only an air rifle component. The rest of the competitions will include both air rifle and smallbore portions.
NC State took six of the top seven positions in the match. Teller won the match with a score of 578, followed closely by teammate Bryan Cross, who shot a 574 for second place.
Two shooters, Madeline Pike and Amy Roderer, set personal bests at the competition, with Pike shooting a 571 and Roderer firing a 569. They placed fourth and fifth, respectively. Martha Hall tied her personal best with a 568 for sixth place. Dani Foster took seventh for the Pack with a score of 567.
NC State finished with a team score of 2292 to win the competition.
The team will return to action Nov. 11 in West Point, N.Y.
