RALEIGH, N.C. -- The No. 16 NC State rifle team will return to action at the SEARC 5 competition on Saturday, Jan. 21, in Charleston, S.C. The Wolfpack is currently undefeated in the SEARC, and will look to continue that streak this weekend.
NC State will face competition from Wofford, The Citadel, Georgia Military and Clemson. Wofford and The Citadel are both NCAA teams, while Georgia Military and Clemson are club teams.
NC State has enjoyed strong scores from multiple shooters thus far. Bryan Cross set a school record in smallbore against Nebraska earlier in the season with his score of 578. Cross also fired a season-best 578 in air rifle last weekend against Ole Miss and The Citadel.
Madeline Pike shot a season-best 576 in air rifle last weekend as well, while Dani Foster fired a season-best in smallbore against Ole Miss and The Citadel.
As a team, the Wolfpack fired a school record in total score (4575) against Army, and also tied the school record in smallbore (2267) against both Army and Nebraska.
