No. 14 NC State Rifle Meets Air Force on Saturday

RALEIGH, N.C. - The 14th-ranked NC State rifle team, fresh off the completion of a perfect SEARC regular season, will travel to Charleston, S.C., for the first of its final two Great American Rifle Conference matches when it takes on Air Force this Saturday, Jan. 26.
The Pack completed its perfect record in the SEARC regular season after shooting a combined team total of 4,594 last weekend at SEARC 5 in Dahlongega, Ga. Freshman Daniel Cliff shot a personal-best 585 to lead the squad in the air rifle, while graduate student Bryan Cross (583) and redshirt junior Amy Roderer (569) also tallied personal bests in the event, en route to helping the team to its best combined score in air rifle with a 2,325 total.
NC State (19-6, 14-0 SEARC, 0-5 GARC) combined for a 4,596 team score when the two squads faced off in last year’s four-way meet which also included Ole Miss and The Citadel. Air Force narrowly edged the Wolfpack with a 4,610 team aggregate to claim second place, as Ole Miss took first place with a 4,640 overall score.
