    Boffa Places 26th At NCAAs

    NC State sophomore Jonathan Boffa took 26th place in the 200 freestyle at the NCAA Men's Swimming and Diving Championship on Friday.

    2010-11: Posted two all-time top-10 school marks, including fourth in the 200 freestyle with a 1:37.56, and eighth in the 100 freestyle with a 44.65 ... Recorded the fastest 50, 100 and 200 freestyle swims on the roster for the year ... Hit an NCAA "B" cut qualifying standard in the 200 freestyle ... Finished in the top-five 19 times ... Hit Olympic Trial cuts in both the 100 and 200 freestyle in the summer following the school year ... Selected to the All-ACC Academic Team ... Named to the ACC Honor Roll.

    PREP/PERSONAL: Swam at Verdala International School ... Owns all Verdala school records in freestyle events ... Posted a 23.91 in the 50 freestyle, 52.11 in the 100 freestyle and 1:56:12 in the 200 freestyle long course meters ... Competed with the Maltese National Team from 2008-10 ...
