NC State Sets New School Record On First Day Of ACCs

The No. 23 NC State men's swim team started off the ACC Championships strong on Wednesday, setting a new school record and achieving a podium finish in the 800-freestyle relay.

2010-11: Recorded the third-best 200 backstroke in school history with a 1:45.40, and the fifth-fastest 100 backtroke in school history with a 49.07 ... Swam the leadoff leg of the second-fastest 400-medley relay in school history ... Hit an NCAA "B" cut qualifying standard in the 200 backstroke ... Had the fastest times on the team for the year in both the 100 and 200 backstroke ... Took first 10 times, five times each in the 100 and 200 backstrokes ... Finished in the top-five 18 times ... Named to the ACC Honor Roll.

2009-10: Competed at Stony Brook ... Won American East Conference titles in both the 100 backstroke and 200 backstroke ... Collected all-conference honors ... Set facility and school records in both the 100 backstroke, 200 backstroke and 200 individual medley ... Studied in Serbia prior to transferring to NC State.
