"We had a nice competition today with the University of Georgia and Savannah College of Art & Design," said head coach Braden Holloway. "We had some pretty good performances and we battled a top program like Georgia as best as we could."
The meet opened with the 200 medley relay, as the men's team composed of Ivan Kopas, Ian Bishop, Barrett Miesfeld and Joe Martin finished second with a time of 1:31.77. Zina Grogg, Lauren Poli, Ashlyn Koletic and Riki Bonnema teamed up to post a time of 1:44.64, good for third in the event.

"This is a great opportunity for us to come down and race against a team that we have not raced against in a very long time as a program," said Holloway. "I was encouraged by the way our team got after it out there today. We still have to do some things better in order to take that next step and we're excited about putting in the work to get there."
Wolfpack swimmers also occupied the top spots for men and women in the 100 breaststroke, as Bishop and Payton Schrum both ended with a time of 56.69 seconds.
State had its best event of the day in the 100 butterfly, as the Pack occupied all three top spots on the women's side and two of the top three on the men's side.
