Grogg Tabbed Co-ACC Swimmer of the Week

GREENSBORO, N.C. - NC State swimmer Zina Grogg has been selected as the Co-ACC Swimmer of the Week, the conference office announced on Tuesday. Grogg was selected for the award along with Virginia sophomore Ellen Williamson.
The native of Moon Township, Pa., led the Wolfpack to a 160-140 win against Virginia Tech on Wednesday, Jan. 16, with a first place finish in the 100 backstroke, stopping the clock at 55.08 - an NCAA 'B' cut. She also swam the 100 butterfly, touching the wall with a time of 54.68, good for second. Grogg also swam the butterfly leg on the Pack's first place 200-medley relay team.
On Saturday, Grogg returned to form with another impressive performance at the meet against Florida State and Georgia Tech. The junior finished first in the 100 backstroke and the 100 butterfly in the competition, with times of 55.19 and 55.14, respectively.
NC State will return to action on Saturday, Jan. 26, when it travels to UNCW for an 11 a.m. meet.
