Wolfpack Track & Field Earns 26 entries at NCAA East Regional preliminaries

A total of 23 athletes, including three who qualified for two events, will participate at next week's NCAA East Regional preliminaries in Jacksonville, Fla. All-Americans Kenyetta Iyevbele, Andie Cozzarelli and Ryan Hill lead the large field of Wolfpack representatives.

Hill, Iyevbele Set School Records at Last Chance Qualifier

All-Americans Ryan Hill in the men's 1,500 meters, Kenyetta Iyevbele in the women's 800 meters break their own school marks Sunday night a the Wolfpack Last Chance Qualifier at Paul Derr Track. The Wolfpack also has strong field performances by junior triple jumper Jazueline Daniels and discus thrower Nathaniel Williams in the final meet of the regular season.

Wolfpack Track & Field to Host Last Chance Qualifier

NC State will host the Wolfpack Last Chance Qualifier on Sunday at Derr Track. Field events begin at 2 p.m., track events begin at 6:15 p.m. Admission is free for all spectators.

Taylor Sets School Record, Wins Discus at Penn Relays

Redshirt freshman Tremanisha Taylor has a school-record throw of more than 175 feet in the women's discus to win the championship division at the Penn Relays. It's her second win in as many days at the nation's oldest, biggest and most prestigious track and field meet.

Earned All-ACC honors in the shot put at the ACC Indoor Championships with a runner-up finish.
Also placed sixth in the weight throw.
Finished third in the hammer throw and fifth in the shot put at the ACC Outdoor Championships ... Named All-ACC in the hammer throw.

2010

Competed in the weight throw and shot put in the indoor season.
Set a new school record in the weight throw to win the ACC Championship in 64'00.50".
Qualified provisionally for the NCAA Championships three times in the weight throw.
Also earned All-ACC honors with a second place finish in the shot put with a mark of 52'04.50".
Posted three provisional marks in the shot put as well.
Continued her success in the outdoor season by winning the ACC Championship in the shot put with a throw of 51'5.75".
Qualified for the NCAA East Regional Championships and placed eleventh to advance to the NCAA Championships for the second year in a row.
Best throw of the season was 54'01.00", breaking the school record that she already held.

2009

Had one of the best seasons for any thrower in school history.
Outdoor ACC Champion in the shot put, earning All-ACC honors in the process.
No thrower at NC State had ever topped 50 feet in the shot put before Henry - indoor or outdoor - and she accomplished the feat an amazing 11 times.
Won 17 throwing events over the indoor and outdoor seasons combined.
Set school records in the indoor shot put and weight throw and outdoor shot put and hammer throw.
All-ACC in the weight throw.
School-record throw of 62'09.25" in the weight throw was almost four inches further than the old record and was good for second at the indoor ACC Championships.
Broke the indoor school record in the shot put by almost five feet, with a 53'02.25".
Was a five-time NCAA indoor provisional qualifier in the shot put and two times in the weight throw.
School record in the hammer throw of 188'03 was over 16 feet longer than the previous record.

2008

Redshirted the indoor and outdoor track seasons.
Hit an NCAA Indoor Provisional mark in the shot put while competing unattached and redshirting.
