    Hill Breaks 4-Minute Mile, Sets 4th School Record

    Junior All-American Ryan Hill broke the longest-standing mark in the Wolfpack record book, erasing Jim Wilkins' 39-year-old mark in the mile run.

    Norman Wins Mile Run At UNC Invitational

    Sophomores Samantha Norman, Jordan Jenkins finish 1-2 in the mile run for the NC State women's indoor track meet. Junior Daniel Fretz was second in the 200 meters for the Wolfpack men.

    • Redshirted the indoor and outdoor seasons.

    • Attended New Oxford High School.
    • Ran the 800m in 2:17.20, the 1,600m in 4:59.26, the 3,200m in 10:38.38 and the 5,000m in 17:31.16.
    • Was the 2008 and 2009 state runner-up in the 3,200m.
    • Placed second in the 2009 indoor state championship meet in the 3,000m.
    • Fourth place finish at the 2009 Nike Indoor Nationals in the 5,000m run.
    • Was first-place in district III in the 1,600m and 3,200m.
    • Member of the National Honor Society.
