Bobby Mack, a former cross country All-American and all-conference runner at NC State joined the Wolfpack coaching staff this year as a graduate assistant.
As a sophomore in 2004, Mack captured second place at the ACC Championships, then went on to a 35th-place finish at the NCAA Championships that year to earn All-America honors. Injuries sidelined him for all of the next three seasons, but he returned to action in 2008 thanks to an additional year of eligibility granted by the NCAA. He made the best of the opportunity and finished fourth in the ACC Championships and won All-NCAA Southeast Regional honors.
Mack currently runs for Taf Brooks and made the Senior World Cross Country Team and competed in Poland in 2010.
A native of Winston-Salem, N.C., Mack earned his degree in history education in 2008 and earned an NCAA postgraduate scholarship following the 2008 cross country season. He is currently working towards his master's degree in education.
