NC State Wins 3 Events; 4 Meet Records Fall at Raleigh Relays

Throwers Nathaniel Williams, Brittany Hampton and jumper Kris Kornegay-Gober all win their events on the first day of the Raleigh Relays at NC State's Derr Track. The meet concludes on Saturday, beginning at 9:30 a.m. Admission is free for all spectators.

Wolfpack Jumpers Dominate at 49er Classic

Junior Kris Kornegay-Gober wins the men's high jump, sophomore Elizabeth Shuman wins the women's high jump and freshman Carl Marant wins the men's triple jump. Redshirt freshman Tremanisha Taylor takes the title in the shot put for her second win in the Pack's initial outdoor meet of the season.

Senior Lawanda Henry has best shot put throw at High Tide, while juniors Tiayonna Blackmon and Kenyetta Iyevbele finish in top three in 800 meters at Virginia Tech meet.

Track Looks For Last-Chance Qualifiers

The NC State men's and women's indoor track and field teams will send select athletes to last-chance indoor meets at Alabama, Virginia Tech and Columbia in the final weekend of action before next week's NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships in Idaho.

Competed in the long jump and triple jump during the indoor season.
Began his career with a 50' 11" triple jump at the Virginia Tech Invitational, which held as the bestmark of any Wolfpackjumper during the indoor season.
Also had the team's best longjump during the indoor season, a 23' 07.50" leap at the Virginia Tech Elite.
Was eighth in the triple jump and 14th in the long jump at the ACC Championships.

Competed in high school at Harnett Central for coach Bill Wyrick.
Career-best in long jump is 22'10".
Career-best in triple jump is 48'03".
