    Mercer Posts Career-Best Time in Mile

    The NC State men's and women's indoor track teams competed in two events on Friday, with junior Erin Mercer setting a personal best in the mile in Boston and junior Paige Eley hitting a career mark in the 60-meter dash in Fayetteville, Ark. Pack athletes compete in four different meets on Saturday.

    Henry, Shepherd Win Events for Wolfpack Women's Track

    Senior Lawanda Henry won the weight throw and junior Karimah Shepherd won the long jump on the first day of competition at the UNC Invitational, Competition concludes on Saturday at UNC's Eddie Smith Field House.

    Trio of Football Players Join Men's Track Squad

    Tobais Palmer, C.J. Wilson and Bryan Underwood join the No. 24 NC State men's track team for this weekend's UNC Invitational in Chapel Hill.

    • Joined track squad after competing forNC State's Champs Sports Bowl-champion football team
    • Did not compete during the indoor season.
    • Ran the 100m during the outdoor season.
    • Posted a collegiate-best mark of 10.72 at the Clemson Final Qualifier.
    • Placed 18th at the ACC Outdoor Championships.

    • Finished second in the 100 meter dash at the NCHSAA 2A state finals in 2008.
    • Best time was 10.58.
    • Played football at Georgian Military College before transferring to NC State to play football and run track.
