Wolfpack Track & Field to Host Last Chance Qualifier

NC State will host the Wolfpack Last Chance Qualifier on Sunday at Derr Track. Field events begin at 2 p.m., track events begin at 6:15 p.m. Admission is free for all spectators.

Junior Ryan Hill, running at the Flotrack Husky Classic in Seattle, posted a mark of 7:43.08 in the 3,000m to break his previous school record of 7:50.38.

Senior Lawanda Henry won the weight throw and junior Karimah Shepherd won the long jump on the first day of competition at the UNC Invitational, Competition concludes on Saturday at UNC's Eddie Smith Field House.

Senior Lawanda Henry throws more than 60 feet to take the win in the first day of competition at the Hokie Invitational.
