ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. - NC State redshirt junior Tremanisha Taylor earned second-team All-American recognition after finishing in 12th place in the women's shot put at the 2014 NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships on Saturday.
Taylor's throw of 52'11.00" (16.13m) placed highest among the Atlantic Coast Conference competitors in the field of 16, and gave the Henderson, N.C. native the second All-American honor of her career.
Last year, Taylor finished second-team All-American in the outdoor shot put in Eugene, Ore., becoming the first student-athlete in program history to earn All-America honors in the event. With her finish, Taylor became the first indoor All-American in the shot put for NC State.
Additionally, Taylor finishes the indoor season as the NC State school-record holder in the shot put.
