Track and Field Wraps Up Competition at Raleigh Relays

RALEIGH, N.C. - The NC State track and field team closed out competition on the final day of the 2014 Raleigh Relays, highlighted by Alexis Perry capturing first place in the women's 100m hurdles with a personal best time of 13.39.
Perry, who set a new NC State school record in the outdoor long jump on Friday, took home the 100m hurdles crown for the second consecutive week after claiming top honors in the event last weekend at the Carolina Relays.
In the men's 200m dash, Jonathan Addison registered a fifth-place finish with his time of 21.60, wrapping up another solid weekend of competition for the sophomore from Raleigh.
The women's 800m saw a trio of Wolfpack runners finish among the top 15, led by Kenyetta Iyevbele (2:09.88) who finished sixth. Ryanna Henderson (2:12.27) came in ninth, while Megan Moye (2:13.97) added a 15th place showing.
Freshman Amara Bell leaped to a 10th place finish in the triple jump with a distance of 37'11.50" (11.57m), while Jule Rich (173'11") and Nathaniel Williams (172'10") finished 12th and 15th, respectively in the men's hammer throw.
NC State will send student-athletes to three separate meets next weekend to be held in Auburn, Ala., Palo Alto, Calif. and High Point, N.C.
