Taylor Sets School Record in Shot Put at Tiger Track Classic

AUBURN, Ala. - Tremanisha Taylor set a new NC State school record in the outdoor shot put on the second and final day of the Tiger Track Classic hosted by Auburn University.
Taylor's throw of 55'03.00" (16.85) broke her previous school record mark of 55'01.25" (16.33m) set in 2012. Taylor has now set an outdoor school record in back-to-back weeks, establishing a new mark in the discus last week at the Raleigh Relays to compliment her outdoor shot put record set today. Taylor also holds the NC State school record in the indoor shot put, set earlier this year.
In addition to her school record throw in the shot put, Taylor finished in first place in the discus on Saturday with a mark of 172'10" (52.67m), while Nicole Chavis garnered a third place result in the event with a distance of 154'06" (47.09m). In the women's hammer throw, Chavis (158'08") finished in eighth place while Alyssa Dunn (150'06") totaled an 11th place showing. Dunn also finished in 12th place in the women's shot put with a throw of 41'07.00".
Jonathan Addison set a personal best and registered a first-place finish in the men's long jump on Saturday, jumping to a distance of 25'2.50" (7.68). Addison also finished second in the men's high jump at a height of 6'11.50" (2.12m).
Alexis Perry completed a successful day by finishing second in the women's long jump with a leap of 19'04.00" and 9th in the women's 100m hurdles with a time of 13.79.
Lacey Shuman registered a third-place finish in the women's high jump, clearing the bar at a height of 5'08.75" (1.75m), while Caitlynn Filla garnered a 10th place showing with a jump of 5'03.00" (1.60m).
In the women's 200 meter dash, Tatyana Glasgow registered a 16th place showing with a time of 24.88, while McGuire (25.14) came in 20th. Denae Ford, also competing in the event, finished in 24th place with a time of 25.31.
In the women's 400m, Ford (56.39) sprinted to a 10th place finish, while Glasgow (58.05) came in 20th for State. The team of Roberts, Glasgow, Ford and McGuire finished in third place in the women's 4X400m relay with a time of 3:51.60.
Krehnbrink (48.52) and Davis (49.14) crossed the finish line in 11th place and 17th place in the men's 400m, while Taylor-Haynes (14.63) and Josh Gandy (15.47) finished in eighth place and 19th place in the men's 110m hurdles. Gandy also registered a 17th place showing in the men's 400m hurdles.
