Taylor & Watkins Garner Top Four Showings in Discus at Penn Relays

PHILADELPHIA – A day after setting a new NC State school-record and NCAA leading mark in the shot put, Tremanisha Taylor finished second in the women's discus with a throw of 176'4" on day two of the Penn Relays at Franklin Field.
SeQuoia Wakins, also competing in the discus, set a personal best in the event with a heave of 170'6" to finish in fourth place.
In the other events on the day featuring members of the Wolfpack track and field team, Jonathan Addison, competing in the men's long jump, registered a sixth place finish in the event with a leap of 24'04.50". Alexis Perry ran a time of 13.82 in the qualifying heat of the women's 100m hurdles to finish in 17th place, while Elizabeth Shuman, competing in the women's high jump, was unable to clear the bar in her jump attempts.
The Wolfpack will have Nathaniel Williams competing in the men's discus tomorrow at 12:30 p.m.
