Roberts, Moldovan, Taylor Compete at NCAAs

Day 1 results | Day 2 results | Day 3 results | Day 4 live results DES MOINES, Iowa – NC State seniors Sandy Roberts and Bobby Moldovan ran in the men’s 5,000 meters on Saturday at the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships, finishing 18th and 24th respectively in the final race of the day. Redshirt freshman Tremanisha Taylor, in her second event of the meet, also competed, finishing 23rd in the women’s shot put. They were among the nine total entries the Wolfpack sent to the national meet at Drake Stadium. Senior Ryan Hill will conclude the Wolfpack’s participation on Saturday, when he competes in the finals of the men’s 1,500 meters. Hill had the fastest preliminary time in the event at 3:39.84, which is just off his school-record mark. Hill, who se race is slated to begin at 12:28 p.m. EDT, earned All-America honors as a redshirt freshman in the 5,000 meters and qualified for the finals last year, but this is his first attempt at winning a national title in the 1,500 meters.
