Women's Track & Field Heads to Arkansas and UNC
The women’s track & field team will send three athletes to Arkansas for the Tyson Invitational while 14 others will make the trip down the road to Chapel Hill for the Carolina Chic-Fil-A Invite. ESPN will be showing the Tyson Invitational on tape delay Sunday from 4-6 pm.
The women are led Angelina Blackmon who already has a NCAA provisional qualifying mark in the mile. She is third in the ACC in that event with a time of 4:47.50. She is also third in the ACC in the 800 meters.
DeMiracle Washington is third in the ACC in the triple jump with a leap of 41’00.25” and is also fifth in the ACC in the long jump.
Kayla Lawson is currently tied for the fifth in the ACC in the high jump with a jump of 5’07.00”.
