Ryan Hill Competes in Millrose Games Saturday

RALEIGH, N.C. - NC State redshirt senior Ryan Hill will compete in the Wanamaker Mile at the 106th Millrose Games, Saturday, Feb. 16, at the New Balance Track & Field Center at The Armory in New York, N.Y. The event will be delivered live on ESPN3 at 7 p.m., and shown from 8-10 p.m., Feb. 17, on ESPN. The Millrose Games is widely regarded the world's most famous indoor track & field meet with high profile high school, collegiate and elite athletes. The spectacle itself began in 1908 when employees at Wanamaker’s department store formed the Millrose Track Club and formed a meet. It grew so fast, the Games moved to Madison Square Garden in 1914. In 2012, the meet moved to The Armory. The Wannamaker Mile is a two-mile race, and widely regarded as the signature event held at Millrose. Hill will be one of three collegiate runners competing in the field, joining Arizona's Lawi Lalang and Tulsa's Chris O'Hare.
