Colley Named ACC Men's Track & Field Performer of the Week

GREENSBORO, N.C. - NC State redshirt senior Andrew Colley has been named the final Atlantic Coast Conference Men's Track and Field Performer of the Week for the 2014 indoor season.
Colley, a senior from Williamsburg, Va., finished in first place in the men's 3,000-meter run at the Alex Wilson Invitational in South Bend, Ind., on Saturday, setting a new career-best in the event with a time of 7:58.87. The three-time All-ACC and two-time All-America track performer finished nearly 22 seconds ahead of second place, while moving to No. 24 nationally in the event.
Colley has finished in first-place in both indoor events he has competed in this year, the one-mile run at the Hokie Invitational (4:12.25) and last Saturday's effort at the Alex Wilson.
The Wolfpack is currently gearing up for this weekend's ACC Indoor Championship, which will be held this Thursday (Feb. 27) through Saturday (March 1) at Clemson University. ESPN3 will provide live coverage, beginning at 4 p.m. on Friday thought conclusion of that evening's session, and on Saturday from noon until the conclusion of the Championship and the awards ceremony.
