    RALEIGH, N.C. – Two-time All-American Tremanisha Taylor will represent the NC State track and field team tomorrow, June 25 at the 2014 USA Track & Field Outdoor Championships in Sacramento, Calif.

    Taylor, a rising redshirt senior, will compete in the qualifying round of the shot put at 1 p.m. ET with the finals set for 7:30 p.m. ET.

    Taylor earned a trip to the USATF Outdoor Championships after setting a new NC State school-record in the shot put at the Penn Relays on April 24. The four-time All-ACC performer’s mark of 57’09.00” surpassed the USATF qualifying standard of 57’01.00” to allow her entry into the prestigious event.

    She enters the USATF Outdoor Championships seeded 10th in the field of 18.

    The USATF Outdoor Championships will take place at Sacramento State University's Hornet Stadium in Sacramento, Calif., Thursday through Sunday. In conjunction with this meet, the USATF Junior Outdoor Combined Events will be held on Wednesday and Thursday. This will serve as the qualifier for the 2014 IAAF World Junior Championships in Eugene, Ore., July 22-27, 2014.
