Seven Named to USTFCCCA All-Academic Team

RALEIGH, N.C. – Seven members of the NC State track and field teams were recently named to the 2014 USTFCCCA Men’s and Women’s All-Academic Team.
From the women’s squad, senior Joanna Thompson and Alexis Perry, a junior from Durham, N.C., each earned the accolade for the second consecutive year. Junior Erika Kemp received the mention for her first time, as well as recent graduates Ryanna Henderson and Emily Pritt.
To qualify for the USTFCCCA All-Academic Track and Field Team, the student-athlete must have compiled a cumulative grade point average of 3.25 and have met at least one of the following athletic standards:
Henderson and Colley graduated in May with degrees in psychology and accounting, respectively, while Pritt recently earned her master’s degree in communications. Perry is a nutrition science major and Thompson is a zoology major, while Addison is working towards a degree in industrial engineering.
Thompson, Perry, Colley and Addison were also recently named to the 2014 Men’s and Women’s Outdoor All-ACC Academic Team. Thompson and Colley both secured the selection for the third consecutive year. Perry earned the mention for the second consecutive year and Addison grabbed his first honor.
