Women's Track and Field Signs Transfer Bogdana Mimic

RALEIGH, N.C. – The NC State track and field team has announced the addition of Villanova transfer Bogdana Mimic, who will join the Wolfpack for the 2014 season.
Mimic, a six-time All-American between women’s track and cross country, has one season of track eligibility remaining.
In three track and field seasons at Villanova, Mimic accumulated four All-America accolades, including two in the outdoor 5,000-meter events during the 2010 and 2011 seasons. Mimic also earned All-America honors in the 3,000 meters at the 2010 NCAA Indoor Championships, while running the opening leg and helping the Wildcats’ distance medley relay team to a fourth-place finish at the national meet.
Mimic was also a two-time All-American in cross country after her performances during the 2010 and 2011 seasons. The Pancevo, Serbia, native finished sixth at the 2011 NCAA Championships with a career-best 6K time of 19:45.7, and claimed 27th place at the 2010 championship meet. Mimic also earned All-BIG EAST and All-Mid-Atlantic Region honors all four years on the cross country circuit.
